Maxi dresses are everywhere this summer. How can you make a maxi dress flatter your figure?

First, cinch your waist with a thick belt, one with a big bow at the center will work best, as the bow will draw attention to the center, making your waist appear narrower. Better yet, bows are on trend right now and will never go out of style.

If a white blouse you've ordered on line looks more see-through than you expected, you can keep it and layer it under a slip dress. It will go especially well with a floral slip dress in spring, as shown in my photo here.

Florals for spring may not be groundbreaking, but this spring's wisteria print is refreshing. Wisteria print usually looks long and slender, similar to vertical stripes, so it has an elongating effect.
